About
My name is Jennifer Dickinson. I am a 2013 graduate of the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Missouri. I recently moved to Physical Therapy of Concordia in Concordia, MO. Throughout my career, I have treated a wide variety of patients in many different settings. I have experience with patients in long term care/skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, acute care/hospital, aquatic/pool therapy, and home health.
Up until lately, I had taken my pelvic floor for granted and all that it had done for me. In 2015, I had a baby and gained a whole new appreciation for the sub-specialty of pelvic floor physical therapy. In the summer of 2016, I attended my first Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute continuing education course (Pelvic Floor 1, also known as PF 1) in Akron, Ohio. Since then I have treated many patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, attended two more courses (PF 2A and PF 2B in Houston, TX and Wichita, KS respectively), and had another beautiful baby.
If any of the information on this blog applies to you, I urge you to contact your healthcare provider and request a referral to pelvic floor physical therapy. As a well-diversified therapist, as a new mama, and as a self-proclaimed nerd who loves challenges, I would love to be that therapist for you.
